| China was an intriguing place, although I don't think I could get used to the "squatty potties". We met some wonderful people, especially Angela, our facilitator and translator. She was simply amazing! Our travel group families were very fun and made our trip memorable. Shamian Island was a small paradise and I can't wait to go back! That is where we met "Lee", a warm and gracious man who teaches Tai Chi in the park- seen with a sword in one of the photos (adoption video). He spoke English very well, offered to teach me some moves and was excited to see himself on video. Then there was Jordan, a shop owner that was often seen sitting near a street corner, chatting to anyone who would stop. He explained to us why we have a "Spicy Girl" from Hunan. These are some of the many who greeted us and welcomed us to their wonderful country, often with many questions as to why we were there and why we would want more children. A very special thanks to Kristen who guided us through the whole process. Your enthusiasm for these children is heart- warming. Many blessings to you! |
